I have been playing and performing since 1983. I have graduated from a local music school and have two masters degrees.

Who
I am available for drum lessons for ages 6-up, generally, unless your child has already developed an exceptional aptitude at an early age.
I will insist that the student learn to read music (drum) if s/he has not already done so, as this is vital to growth on an instrument.

What will be taught?
That depends upon the level of the student. I insist upon teaching students to read music. It is essential to their growth and generally students who opt to NOT read don’t make it passed a certain point and tend to quit in their learning.

Although I’m an instructor, I like developing a working relationship with each student and the parent(s) to better assist in my understanding of his or her needs.

I am often called, “Coach” – though I never once asked for that.

Advanced drummers who can read well will require stylistic, technique and “how-to” sessions more often than book-related studies.
Beginners will require work in a variety of books that I will insist upon for the student to develop his or her stamina, technique, relaxation and approach to the drum set.

When
This varies year to year, but generally two or three days per week are my teaching days.

Where
Lessons are provided in the comfort of an in-home studio, isolated from outside noise and interference.
My studio has two acoustic drum kits for interactive instruction, and a sound system for metronome and music play-along. NO travel at this time.

How much?Payment is due in advance by the month. Arrangements can be made to accommodate a sporadic schedule, or for times when a lesson must be cancelled. The advance is non-refu

ndable. But make-up lessons are provided with 24-hour notice.

I can also split up lessons. For instance, a 1 hour lesson every two weeks instead of 30 minutes a week, which will save you money and driving, and is usually a better quality of student-teacher time than 30 min.

Rates: $1/minute

Payment is through the Payment System.

I also accept BitCoin, Etherium, and other digital currencies, valued at USD prices.

The rate is the same for in-studio or video lessons.

Because of some people who have no sense of what is right and wrong, I adhere to the following rules and expect you to also.

  1. I only accept payment on my payment site
  2. Payment is billed in advance for the month scheduled
  3. If the student is a child, you MUST either wait inside or in your vehicle outside for your student. And you must be a legal guardian of the student.
  4. I only do business on phone or in person, never in email. I must know with whom I’m speaking.
